What stays on your device

• Text you translate is processed in your browser. It only appears in the page address if you share a link.
• Microphone and camera are used only while you have the microphone (in Decode) or Torch switched on, and only on your device. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.
• Audio files and images you open to decode are read in your browser and never uploaded.
• Voice input uses your browser's own speech recognition. Some browsers, such as Chrome, send the audio to their provider to turn it into text; morse24 never receives it.

What is stored in your browser

The translator remembers your last six messages, and the Learn page saves your lesson level, recent answers and speed settings, in your browser's local storage, so you can continue where you stopped. They never leave your device. You can clear them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. Your cookie choice is saved there too, as m24.consent.

Hosting

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and protect the service.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 only if you accept cookies. Until you accept, Google’s script is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_E0ZDW5DVR0, which last up to two years, and receives technical data such as your browser, device, approximate location, the pages you visit and which tools you use (for example when Play, Save or Decode is pressed). The text of your messages is never sent: the page address is sent without the part that holds a shared message. Google Analytics is not used for advertising, and advertising storage stays switched off.

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Choosing Reject also deletes the Google Analytics cookies. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
